Jagprint ULTRA series abs

We have just completed testing a small production run of our new ULTRA series high tolerance abs and are happy to report the new material is our best ever. Vendors promote filament with a tolerance of around +/- 0.1mm, occasionally you will find 0.05m tolerance. Never have we seen anyone claiming +/-0.02 mm tolerance for filament, till now that is. We are pleased to be able to offer an industry leading +/- 0.02mm tolerance ABS and PLA filament. Desktop 3D printing is tough enough as it is without dealing with your machine jamming and eneven flow rates. Using the new ultra high tolerance ABS from Jagprint you can take the filament variable out of the equation. Machines that used to jam up frequently will now operate for hours and hours without a problem. Prints that were 'ok' before become 'great' just by switching to this filament.

Here are a few prints straight off the hot bed with the new ULTRA tolerance material. Photos and notes are courtesy of our friend Brent at botfreak.com using his very own botfreak 3D printer. No touchup was required except for a little sanding on Teddy and Buddha. Thanks Brent.

The material will show up on this web site in a couple of weeks. The first batch of 500 reels is all 1.75mm, black ABS. Pricing is not fixed yet but you can write us and we'll reserve a spool or two for you at an introductory price of $35 per kg.

Cheers,

Maurice

Easter Island Statue - Decided to go with 70% infill on this one...the printing host (Repetier) estimated printing time of 4:30 for this one (unusual because it is usually more accurate) - but more than 8 hrs later it finally finished. very solid and will work well, only had a small drooping on the chin due to the 0.25mmlayer height.

Printing time: 8:06

Layer Height: 0.25mm

Perimeters: 2

Infill: 70% infill

Speed Infill: 55mm/sec

Speed Perimeters: 35mm/sec

Teddy Roosevelt - Ended up with a small hole on his left shoulder because of not enough fill and too few top layers, otherwise good detail.

Printing time: 6:06

Layer Height: 0.1mm

Perimeters: 2

Infill: 25% infill

Speed Infill: 25mm/sec

Speed Perimeters: 20mm/sec

Buddah - I should have raised the infill here because there is a hole on one hand and the top of stomach.

Printing time: 7:14

Layer Height: 0.1mm

Perimeters: 3

Infill: 40% infill

Speed Infill: 40mm/sec

Speed Perimeters: 25mm/sec

Woman's Torso - I upped the number of top layers to 5 here as opposed to 3 on Teddy Roosevelt, still some problems with holes on the top layers - I think this is more of a slicer problem than anything to do with the machine or filament.

Printing time: 4:30

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Perimeters: 2

Infill: 25% infill

Speed Infill: 40mm/sec

Speed Perimeters: 25mm/sec

Beethoven - This model looks like its reduced quality but that's just how the 3D file is done.  I raised the perimeters to 3 here and infil to 40% - still a problem with a small hole on the top of one shoulder

Printing time: 8:40

Layer Height: 0.1mm

Perimeters: 3

Infill: 40% infill

Speed Infill: 40mm/sec

Speed Perimeters: 25mm/sec
